FAQ
Expert Answers
Will you migrate my site?
Yes. Our engineers handle the entire process for free. We clone your site to a staging URL, let you verify everything, and then switch DNS with zero downtime.
Do I get root access?
What if I get hacked?
This service is not included if the issue is caused by third-party installations or an improperly secured website. However, our security team can fix the issue for a one-time fee of $300, which includes cleanup, vulnerability identification, and patching.
Do I need to configure Nginx?
No. We pre-configure Nginx with our custom microcaching rules. However, you have full control to add custom rules via our dashboard if needed.
What happens if I exceed my visit limit?
We don’t throttle you. If you go viral, we keep your site online. We’ll just ask you to upgrade to the next tier for the following month.
Is email hosting included?
Do you host WooCommerce stores and handle sudden traffic spikes or checkout slowdowns?
Yes, we provide a WooCommerce-tuned stack (Redis object cache, PHP-FPM tuning, autoscaling or vertical burst), plus recommended plugins and testing to keep checkout fast.
We run WooCommerce on a tuned stack: Nginx + PHP-FPM tuned per-site, Redis object caching for sessions and product meta, and high-performance order storage guidance (HPOS) where appropriate. For stores expecting traffic surges we offer autoscaling options or temporary resource bursts, plus load-testing and a pre-migration performance checklist (query optimization, plugin audit, DB indices). We also maintain a staging copy so you can test cart and checkout flows before going live. If you sell physically or globally, we help implement a CDN and edge caching rules so checkout performance is consistent worldwide.
How often do you back up my site, and can you restore to a specific point if needed?
Daily backups are standard; hourly or incremental backups with point-in-time restores are available for transactional sites (WooCommerce/membership).
For standard sites we keep daily automatic backups and a rolling retention window. For high-change sites (e-commerce, membership) we provide incremental or hourly backups with at-least 30-day retention and point-in-time restore options so you can roll back to the exact minute before an incident. Backups are stored offsite and test restores are available on request. If you need a stricter SLAs (longer retention or exportable offsite archives), we’ll add a tailored backup policy. (Best practice: hourly for heavy transactional sites, daily for brochure sites.)
Do you manage email (site transactional emails, order notifications) after migration?
We don’t provide full email hosting, but we’ll configure and test transactional email (Mailgun/SendGrid/SMTP) and DNS records so WooCommerce notifications and receipts work reliably.
Because we keep server resources focused on website performance, we recommend and integrate third-party transactional mail (Mailgun, SendGrid, SendLayer, etc.) for order confirmations, password resets, and marketing notifications. During migration we’ll verify SPF/DKIM records, update MX where needed, and install/configure an SMTP plugin (WP Mail SMTP or native API plugin) and test deliverability. We also provide email-logging and retry options to avoid lost orders after a migration. If you require hosted mailboxes (inbox, calendars), we recommend Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 and provide the DNS and migration steps.
Can you host sites that must meet GDPR, HIPAA, or local data-residency requirements?
Yes, we provide options for data residency, encryption at rest, and contractual protections; HIPAA requires a signed BAA and additional safeguards (we can provide a compliant environment on request).
For GDPR: we offer EU-region hosting and guidance on partners (analytics, CDNs, backups) so you can meet data-processing requirements. For HIPAA: we can provide an isolated, encrypted environment, access controls, audit logging, and a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) where we’re the data processor. Note: true HIPAA compliance also depends on your application code, forms, and third-party services. We’ll perform a checklist review and recommend controls (encryption, access logging, retention policies) but cannot certify compliance for your application — you retain responsibility for forms and data collection methods. For strict local data-residency, we can allocate region-specific servers and document storage locations for audits.
